"The Squall" - 48th Street Theatre
Our playbill of "The Squall" by Jean Bart, performed at the 48th Street Theatre on Broadway, was dated Wednesday June 15, 1927 by an individual, possibly a young lady by the handwriting, who saw the show with her mother that night. This playbill is part of the "Uncle Wesley" collection, so named for the reference of an "Uncle Wesley" that accompanied the unnamed owner of the playbills' to some of the shows. These playbills, all from 1927, were collected together in an original leather bound Playbill binder produced by the New York Theatre Program company.
